Book Reviews-“Unholy Pursuit, The Devil on My Trail.”

UnHoly Pursuit- The Devil on my trail Smaller size

A great story of saints, demons, spirits, good and evil set 500 years in the future. A 24 year old single mother with energy and a fighting attitude is always on the road fleeing malevolent forces coming after her. As she gives as good as she gets and always manages to stay one step ahead of her pursuers due to her inner qualities and a little help from above, the reader comes to realize that she is more than just a tough, strong woman fighting to save her family: she is a warrior called to battle to fight for the greater good . A good intro to the paranormal genre and for a perspective on what life will be like a half millennium from now.

Best,

About unholypursuit

A. White, a former librarian who is also long time member of Romantic Time and Publisher's Weekly. A. White has been writing for over fifteen years. She took classes in creative writing in college, specializing in ancient myths and legends. and at a local community center while living in Chicago. In college she won the national contest to verbally list every country in the world, it's capital and ingenious language. Her works are mainly horror, fantasy, extreme, and sci-fi as well as, as some may says, "the truly strange predicament and puzzling." Books that I've written are "Clash with the Immortals, and eleven others which are part of the "Unholy Pursuit saga,". She has been working on the Chronicles since 2007. She wished to complete them all before introducing them to public so the readers wouldn't have to for the continuation to be written. The ideas of the book come from classic literature such as whose work greatly influence the world world such as Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Socrates, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle and many more. The "Book of Enoch" influenced the usage of Azazael as a main character and love interest. I created the primary main character from the Chronicle of Saints. I wanted to show them as real flesh and blood with thoughts, desires and yearning as any human. Not as they are so often depicted. So I created one of my own to show her as a real human that everyone can relate to.

I tried to leave my review on Amazon but apparently I didn’t meet the requirements. This is the first book I ever read this size but I have to tell ya. It was worth it. If I could give it ten thumbs up! I would. The stalking so accurate written that it’s astonishing.

I am happy to learn this is a series. Wow! It’s amazing the stories doesn’t have a lot of gore or slash nor direct explanation of the intensity of the characters perilous situation but it comes across with flying colors. The truck scene where Ana kills the two men who rammed their truck through the motel room window in an attempt to catch her and the little girl off guard and kill them. It had a chilling affect on me. Afterward, I watched metal grilled trucks on the road for two days wondering if a psycho was behind the wheel?!

I thought this was going to be more a futurist story than it was but nonetheless it was good read. I think you needed to have added a lot more technology than is in the book. I mean technology is the future. There’s no stopping it. I read bits and pieces of advance technology in basic things like phones, cars, and medical care but it would have been more exciting had you added something like she stole an spacecraft and soar into space and sped back to earth and bombed the hell out of Nikola. Or they engaged in a laser power fight in space. You know, more Star Wars like stuff. But I see what you are saying. You’re saying all the space innovations are really nothing more than other worlds inhabited by immortals and supernatural beings. Despite the lack of space things it was the first book I read of this size in a very long time. Maybe I’m a little upset because the book scared me a little. I wasn’t expecting that. I didn’t understand it to be a scary book but it is. I really don’t know what kind of book this is. Lady, you don’t scare with bloody and guts scenes you can scare without all that. That takes talent.

    • Thank for reading it. I appreciate that very much. I really do. Thanks for the assessment, I didn’t want the story to sound like Star Wars. There’s much more advance technology but my character isn’t wealthy nor have access to it. She’s a normal woman on the run from people who have access to all the things you mentioned. She isn’t magical. She’s a wife and mother thrown into chaos and is fighting to save her and her child’s life. Please stick with the series it get deeper with every book.

I don’t know exactly what makes this book as good as it is. Maybe it’s the action, the different scenes with every incident, the dialogues or what…but it’s worth the price. It’s like looking into a hidden but very deadly world. Thanks for writing it.

I know it is Herculean task to present these books but it is enhance by one of the finest people I ever met. It is challenging to write so many books. Actually 14 are listed on Goodread. And the thing is they’re all high quality books. How did you accomplish it? Most people are doing well if they can complete one book. Most people can only write one in their lifetime.

    • Hi Liva, it’s nice to meet you. I don’t recall meeting you and please forgive me for not remembering but it a pleasure to know your name. Actually these books were written over a course of many years. Just a little bit was added to each during my spare time.
