My angel, my all, my own self — only a few words today, and that too with pencil (with yours) — only till tomorrow is my lodging definitely fixed. What abominable waste of time in such things — why this deep grief, where necessity speaks?
Can our love persist otherwise than through sacrifices, than by not demanding everything? Canst thou change it, that thou are not entirely mine, I not entirely thine? Oh, God, look into beautiful Nature and compose your mind to the inevitable. Love demands everything and is quite right, so it is for me with you, for you with me — only you forget so easily, that I must live for you and for me — were we quite united, you would notice this painful feeling as little as I should . . .

We shall probably soon meet, even today I cannot communicate my remarks to you, which during these days I made about my life — were our hearts close together, I should probably not make any such remarks. You suffer, you, my dearest creature. Just now I perceive that letters must be posted first thing early. Mondays — Thursdays — the only days, when the post goes from here to K. You suffer — oh! Where I am, you are with me, with me and you, I shall arrange that I may live with you. What a life!
So! Without you — pursued by the kindness of the people here and there, whom I mean — to desire to earn just as little as they earn — humility of man towards men — it pains me — and when I regard myself in connection with the Universe, what I am, and what he is — whom one calls the greatest — and yet — there lies herein again the godlike of man. I weep when I think you will probably only receive on Saturday the first news from me — as you too love — yet I love you stronger — but never hide yourself from me. Good night — as I am taking the waters, I must go to bed. Oh God — so near! so far! Is it not a real building of heaven, our Love — but as firm, too, as the citadel of heaven.
Good morning, on 7 July
Even in bed my ideas yearn towards you, my Immortal Beloved, here and there joyfully, then again sadly, awaiting from Fate, whether it will listen to us. I can only live, either altogether with you or not at all. Yes, I have determined to wander about for so long far away, until I can fly into your arms and call myself quite at home with you, can send my soul enveloped by yours into the realm of spirits — yes, I regret, it must be. You will get over it all the more as you know my faithfulness to you; never another one can own my heart, never — never! O God, why must one go away from what one loves so, and yet my life in W. as it is now is a miserable life. Your love made me the happiest and unhappiest at the same time. At my actual age I should need some continuity, sameness of life — can that exist under our circumstances? Angel, I just hear that the post goes out every day — and must close therefore, so that you get the L. at once. Be calm — love me — today — yesterday.

You could glance at Yahoo’s front page and note
how they create post headlines to grab viewers to open the links.
You might try adding a video or a related picture
or two to grab readers excited about everything’ve got to say.
In my opinion, it would make your posts a little
livelier.

Hi, thanks for your input. I always welcome others’ point of view. Thank you for noticing. If you have any suggestions I’m all ears. I’m open to them. Maybe if I shred a little light on the contents of the book you would see why this cover was used. The reason such bookcover was chosen was to illustration the storyline. Originally I considered a much different color but several others said that the traditional eye-catching, vibrant colors and design would trivialize the contents of the book. That no one being harassed and hunted isn’t exactly in bright and vibrant mood. The woman who helped me deigned the cover asked concerning the original cover did I think stalking and harassing someone was something bright and cheery?
I told her, “Of course not.”
She said the colors being used stated otherwise.
My readers feels that to do would have been trivializing a very serious issue and that is stalking. There are videos on this site, and numerous places all over the internet. It has been marked to read by more than 10,000 people in less than a month. I’m not allowed to tell the sales percentage but I think it is doing great for a book on the market a little over a month. The Immortal Lover has been shelved over 5,000 times in less than a three weeks. I am not saying neither can be improved but perhaps later they maybe be but the publishing company isn’t going to change them at the moment for these are the images everyone has become familiar with this work by. I didn’t not wish to offend anyone who may have been a victim by flashing too busy colors. We decided on what would more likely a victim’s mood. It is illustrating that this woman is so profoundly harassed, hunted and so many are out to kill her that she doesn’t know what is coming around the corner next to attack her.
Most posts do have pictures added. I do not know why they often do not show up.

Gain, I disagree with your assessment. Alma, you can do whatever you like but IMHO, I do not think anything needs to be changed about the book. On the bookshelf of Barnes and Noble it looks like words dressed in a tuxedo. The elegance of the black on red is very eye catching. It’s written for adults who doesn’t need a lot of glitter to attract their attention.The eerie picture in the background adds an anarchic air to the cover. I haven’t seen very many books where the cover is downright beautiful. But this book is a black beauty and I do not mean it in an offensive manner. Most goes for efficiently not beauty. But your publishers captured both.
I took a look at the other cover in question, I think it’s lovely, heartfelt romantic how they are holding on to each other as they are being pulled apart. Refusing to let the other go. That speaks volumes about the depths of their relationship. It’s show real romanticism in how he is holding onto her hand and not some other body part as so often exemplified in many romance novels. It shows he truly loves and respect her. And the fact he put a ring on her finger topped the cake with me. Maybe I’m old-fashioned but a guy can talk all the sweet words he wants but until he’s willing to back them up with a ring, to me the words are meaningless. I’m a little weary of of romance novels where it takes the leading male characters years of behaving like a jerk toward her to decide if he loves her but yet has his hands all over her in every few paragraphs. Thanks for bringing back old-school romance. The love scenes are hot and classy, not tacky. Eventhus, he is thinking about getting her in bed but when he finds her he doesn’t try to have sex with her immediately. He gentlemanly controls himself and take care of her needs first like a man supposed to do.
The way you presented Ana BuFaye reminds me a lot of Michelle Obama. A strong woman who does what she wants and needs to do to survive. When things went from bad to worse to nefarious she didn’t sit down and cry or become paralyzed with fear and despair. Although James Cadwell was one of the enemies pretending to be a friend she didn’t became a helpless weeping willow clinging to him for help after he mysteriously moved next door after Thad’s arrest. She didn’t expect him or any other man to take care of her. James Cadwell is trying to allure her to Nikola by gaining her trust. He set up the accident of the Mack truck that nearly killed her. He set up the foreclosure of their home she mortgaged to get Thad out of jail. It was the warlock down south who set up the relationship between Thad and Lola. And Lola works for him.
When Thad was arrested had I been Ana he would have sat in jail and rotted but although she was hurt, she stuck by him. I didn’t care much for that part but I liked the fact that you moved her on beyond Thad’s betrayal. That’s what strong women do.
I was amazed at Azazel’s arrogance is pretending he can’t understand why heaven doesn’t want him with Ana. He has harems for a start that he’s keeping hidden from Ana. He kills people who peeves him off. I shook my head several times at his typical male mentality that he can have his cake and eat it too. These scenes made me doubted his love for her. Everything to him has a price tag. Oh well, the harem members knew what they were getting into. Their contract says if he finds his lady love they are all out the door. He’s furiously jealous of Thad. It’s like he’s still operating in a bygone era when he was a god. But the fact he has been waiting for her since before creation is a very strong theme of a lasting love.
I was surprised you disclosures what witchcraft, the dark forces and magic really is and the real horrors behind it and didn’t go the popular route of today as portraying it as harmless and showed what is said to actually goes on in covens. You showed why those who used their power for goodness are pursued by the darkside. I was stunned when you came out and wrote those who possessed powers today it all came in through Pentecost and why the two sides fight like cats and dogs. Why they are natural enemies?
With Nikola, I’m sort of conflicted, I tried to feel sorry for him considering how he was dragged into the occult at such a young age but doggone it everytime he gained my sympathy he turned right around and does something else notorious evil.
Although, it is fictional fantasy epic. It isn’t a young adult novel. No one is handing Ana things to aid her along the way. Her gifts don’t materialize secret weapons when under attack. She doesn’t have no one to depend upon but herself and her mother whenever Fannie’s health permits it. No one is protecting her from Nikola and his henchmen. The cops are out to kill her not help her. They doesn’t care if they kill Bea while shooting at her. So it is hard to feel sorry for them when Azazel catches up with them and rip them apart for firing at her.
She must take far below her educational level, back breaking jobs to support herself and Bea. You know how Steinbeck “The Grapes of Wrath” mostly appeared to people who had been through the Great Depression, well, this book isn’t going to appear to anyone who think it is cute and funny to bully and attack defenseless people or anyone who has never been through anything hard in life. But if you want to look at things as to how they are and not how we envisioned them to be.
A lot of stream of consciousness is used and aren’t many can pull that off without it sounding like a separation of the narration.
One of my favorite scenes were when Ana’s oldest brother asked him did he love her and Azazel replied he would kill her for. And her brother said he wasn’t asking him to kill anyone all he wanted to know if he truly loved his sister. It’s much funnier in the book than I’m telling it here.

Emma, welcome and thank you for a thorough evaluation of the book. I truly appreciates you took the time to read it and write your opinion. That means the world to me. Actually, you know…I didn’t have a specific age group in mind when I wrote the book. (Of course, I didn’t have preteenies in mind.) But I wrote it for anyone who enjoys fantasy, a little science fiction and love stories blended in together. But I do understand what you are saying. Every book nor every genre is going to appear to everyone. I respect that. I always welcome opinions and ideas from readers. I don’t have all the answers. LOL! Like, this morning, I passed Gains’ suggestions to the publisher.
