I know the most common method touted for book promotions is online and there are many great ways to promote your book online. I have found many wonderful promotional services online.
But I’ve also found one method that is not touted very much but works very well and best all, it’s free. The word of mouth. It works very well.
And I also aware that in the literary world family and friends aren’t exactly considered fans. But they are who are going to be your first and biggest supporters before the world discover you. They are who is going to tell everyone about your book. They are the people whom you are going to bounce ideas off and ask does it sound ok, great or what? I don’t know where the myth comes from that family and friends will say it sounds great even if it doesn’t. Just to spare your feelings. Mine’s won’t. I haven’t met those people. Maybe I have the wrong family and friends. Nah, I don’t think so. They will tell me if a scene or sentence makes no sense, at least not to them. Or if the actions are believable. They will say they aren’t telling anyone about a work that makes no sense. You better fix it. LOL! Now, they don’t input how to fix it but leaves that up to me.
