Family and Friends will be your greatest supporters.

I know the most common method touted for book promotions is online and there are many great ways to promote your book online. I have found many wonderful promotional services online.

But I’ve also found one method that is not touted very much but works very well and best all, it’s free. The word of mouth. It works very well.

And I also aware that in the literary world family and friends aren’t exactly considered fans. But they are who are going to be your first and biggest supporters before the world discover you. They are who is going to tell everyone about your book. They are the people whom you are going to bounce ideas off and ask does it sound ok, great or what?  I don’t know where the myth comes from that family and friends will say it sounds great even if it doesn’t. Just to spare your feelings. Mine’s won’t. I haven’t met those people. Maybe I have the wrong family and friends. Nah, I don’t think so. They will tell me if a scene or sentence makes no sense, at least not to them. Or if the actions are believable. They will say they aren’t telling anyone about a work that makes no sense. You better fix it. LOL! Now, they don’t input how to fix it but leaves that up to me.

Who else will help you lug books to a book signing or book fair? No one but someone who cares if you succeed.  These are the people who will be there for you even if you don’t have a single rating. These are not the people who make excuses as to why they can’t help you. They will show interest in what you are writing. I believes that if there’s someone is in your life who shows no interest in nothing that’s important to you or make excuse for everything that meaningful to you. Then they are telling you very clearly how they feel about you.  Because love will find a way.

I will admit I don’t have very much family left; uncles, aunts,  parents and spouse are no longer with me. But for those of you who do. Use them.  Give them a try. You would surprised at how well it works. Now, do not expect these people to sign online and write a review because they aren’t going to do that. Every author already knows that and the new ones are learning. They feel they have gone their part in helping the book to become a reality and telling people they know about it so the reviews are left up to the world.

About unholypursuit

A. White, an award winning former librarian, who is also a long time member of Romantic Time and Publisher's Weekly. A. White has been writing for over fifteen years. She took classes in creative writing in college, specializing in ancient myths and legends. and later at a local community center while living in Chicago. In college she won the national contest to verbally list every country in the world, it's capital and ingenious language. Her works are mainly horror, fantasy, extreme, and sci-fi as well as, as some may says, "the truly strange predicament and puzzling." Books that I've written are "Clash with the Immortals, and eleven others which are part of the "Unholy Pursuit saga,". She has been working on the Chronicles since 2007. She wished to complete them all before introducing them to public so the readers wouldn't have to for the continuation to be written. The ideas of the book come from classic literature such as whose work greatly influence the world world such as Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Socrates, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle and many more. The "Book of Enoch" influenced the usage of Azazael as a main character and love interest. I created the primary main character from the Chronicle of Saints. I wanted to show them as real flesh and blood with thoughts, desires and yearning as any human. Not as they are so often depicted. So I created one of my own to show her as a real human that everyone can relate to.
