For days I as many of you have been glued to the television watching a horror unfold. I am sure every one knows by now we as a nation are engaged in another recovery progress as a nation much akin to what happened in New Orleans with Katrina in 2005. Katrina was originally something that was completely off the hurricane measurement chart by the time it hit the shore. Now it’s said it was a category 3 but originally it wasn’t rated a 3.
In this situation I hope the recovery is swift and people can put their lives back together quickly. Losing a home is always a traumatizing experience no matter how it occurred but I can not imagine the experience if the process is life threatening as well. I know it is a long road to recovery and pray that those affected have the stamina to endure.
But as Americans, we will all have to bear the burden of recovery and rebuilding, the state of Texas. Texas can not do it alone. The nation’s 4th largest city is reeling after a storm of biblical proportions and as of this date it isn’t over yet. The rivers haven’t crested and that’s another headache. I hope the two new storms doesn’t add insult to injury.
Those affected by Hurricane Harvey are in my prayers.
