The other day an old friend called and asked what would I like for Christmas. It’s been years since I looked at fashion but she force me to look at it at least once every year. From one year to the next I have no idea what’s the most covet bag or shoes.
She knew me well enough to debark what I was about to say about love and peace, saying, “Yeah, Alma…we all would like that but that isn’t gonna happen unless Judgement Day comes before Dec 25th. And don’t tell me anything. It’s the thought that counts.”
We were college roommates for two years as to how she knows me so well. 🙂
Anyway, I left it up to my kids to pick something out and tell her. Old jeans, sweat shirt and sneakers are my daily indoor wear. A heavy over coat, my ten year old Duck boot are my outdoor wear.
This is the bag she sent a picture of and before anyone decides if I can afford this bag then I must have wads of money. No, I don’t. I just think it’s a very unique bag. I didn’t say I could afford it.
She said she thought of it because I’m a writer. So there’s no need for another burglary. The bag is not here. My most expensive handbag came from Walmart.
