This is a reblog- Here is the book that was released May 8th, I think. I strongly believes this man’s account is what was used to find the schooner Clotilda which was the last known U.S. slave ship to bring captives from Africa to the United States, arriving at Mobile Bay in autumn 1859, with 110-160 slaves. The ship was a two-masted schooner, 86 feet long with a beam of 23 ft. The man in this story is the last known survivor of the Clotilda.
This is a part of America’s history and it is important that everyone knows about it for far too many of the social ills of our present day have a direct link to our dark past.
