School Shootings: Why The Epidemic?

I perused this book over the weekend. It’s another exciting book by the new author Rachel Hightower. It’s much like her first novel. She knows to dig deeper than the surface of current events and give the root cause of them.

I am allowed to post the prologue and a small part of the first chapter. This is a first draft. It hasn’t been edited yet.

Prologue

Why are they happening?

Why has they become an epidemic?

First of all, I would like to thank you for taking notice of my book. Selecting it for a read. But I’m going to candid. If you are reading it for quick solutions without social changes. Then I suggest you stop right now. That’s not what this book is about.

If you are one of those people whom every truth offends. Again, I suggest you stop reading because I’m not writing this to pacify adults but to try and save our children. Too many are dying at the hands of each other and guns. I wrote this to dig deeper into the psyche to see what I could come up with. I’m seeking a reason as to why these terrible things are happening? Everywhere I searched I came back to the same conclusion and these are my conclusions. And like I said, I write brutal. I do not write bathetic literary works.

Chapter 1

Anyone familiar with my writing knows I’m forthright and do not edulcorate what I have to say. I feels that’s part of the problems. Too many people aren’t facing the problems. Everyone is pussyfooting around the subject while we all await the next group of children to die. Sugar coating things is not the adult nor effective way to deal with things when people are dying. Everyone is still sticking their heads in the prodigal sand pretending they do not know what’s going on.

What prompt me to write this book was I’m tired of seeing brokenhearted parents wailing and children crying and scared out of their young minds. The processions of funerals are way too long and has been too long for far too long.

About unholypursuit

A. White, a former librarian who is also long time member of Romantic Time and Publisher's Weekly. A. White has been writing for over fifteen years. She took classes in creative writing in college, specializing in ancient myths and legends. and at a local community center while living in Chicago. In college she won the national contest to verbally list every country in the world, it's capital and ingenious language. Her works are mainly horror, fantasy, extreme, and sci-fi as well as, as some may says, "the truly strange predicament and puzzling." Books that I've written are "Clash with the Immortals, and eleven others which are part of the "Unholy Pursuit saga,". She has been working on the Chronicles since 2007. She wished to complete them all before introducing them to public so the readers wouldn't have to for the continuation to be written. The ideas of the book come from classic literature such as whose work greatly influence the world world such as Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Socrates, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle and many more. The "Book of Enoch" influenced the usage of Azazael as a main character and love interest. I created the primary main character from the Chronicle of Saints. I wanted to show them as real flesh and blood with thoughts, desires and yearning as any human. Not as they are so often depicted. So I created one of my own to show her as a real human that everyone can relate to.

My two cents is people haven’t taught their sons how to handle stress and haven’t taught the bullies how to respect other people. I’m not trying to be inclusive on the authors book but these are my opinions. The parents spent his entire life kissing his bottom so when the least thing goes wrong he react the same in the world as he does at home.

Lisa, I see no end in sight if nothing changes and change quickly. These are not growing pain. Something deadly is gripping our nation. We are spurning into a hellish abyss. We are turning away from everything the least unpleasant in search for fable illusions. We can not face any reality. Everything must be sugary sweet or political correct for us to listen. I hope we wake up before this nightmare destory us.
