I am not the author of this poem but it’s a powerful message. Sorry, to say this but they have always been with us. This is some of what Pink Floyd is talking about in “Another Brick in The Wall.” and the movie “The Matrix.” is about. Anyone who doesn’t follow suit in many societies are stigmatized and punished.

The thought police are coming
And they’re coming after you,
Telling you just what to think
And just what you should do,
They’ve infiltrated the media
The Internet and TV too,
These thought police all the want is control over you.
Think for yourself
Make your own rules
Be your own authority,
Think for yourself
Believe in yourself
And be existentially free.
The Thought police they set the rules
And treat us all like fools,
They use divides and create sides
That split both me and you,
They don’t want us united
They truly fear that,
Because they know we would then have the might
And the power over their system
And we may then choose to change the world
And create more love, peace and light.

A. White, an award winning former librarian, who is also a long time member of Romantic Time and Publisher's Weekly. A. White has been writing for over fifteen years. She took classes in creative writing in college, specializing in ancient myths and legends. and later at a local community center while living in Chicago. The ideas of the book come from classic literature such as whose work greatly influence the world world such as Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Socrates, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle and many more. The "Book of Enoch" influenced the usage of Azazael as a main character and love interest. I created the primary main character from the Chronicle of Saints. I wanted to show them as real flesh and blood with thoughts, desires and yearning as any human. Not as they are so often depicted. So I created one of my own to show her as a real human that everyone can relate to.

True. If you dare to think for yourself. Then there’s serious consequences. Everyone must like the same things. Sound alike, look alike, no one can be different.

There has always been thought police. That’s where “Brave New World” a novel by Aldous Huxley comes from. That’s where “1984” come from.
