Chaos-Exactly what is it?

Hammer attacker randomly attacks

Recently in Greenwich England an young man wielding a hammer attacks two women and leave them for dead. Incidents like this occurs all over the world on a daily basis. Why is there so much hate and chaos?

Chaos is referred to as the void state preceding the creation of the universe or cosmos in the Greek creation myths, or to the initial “gap” created by the original separation of heaven and earth. I don’t know about this definition but I firmly believe there’s an influence. Whether it’s otherworldly or of this world I don’t know but there has been something dark at work since the existence of the human race. We are the only species on earth who kills each other in large numbers. I have never seen a bunch of deer at war with each other. I have never seen a bunch of birds of the same species attack each other in the sky. I have never seen one pride of lions slay another pride. Have you?

We are supposedly the most intelligent creatures on earth but behave the worst. Why do we behave so terribly? I can’t honestly say why and mankind has been looking for reasons for millenniums.

Some say it’s just evil people.

I don’t fully buy that dismissive answer. To me that a trivial answer to an unanswerable question.  And I will tell you why.

People don’t live very long. There are animals and plants that live longer than humans. So when one generation dies off you mean to tell me the following generation simply picks up from the old hellions left off and have carried it on for eons after eons after eons and no one was bright enough to wake up and say “Hey man! Hold that sword. This is stupid??”

And the lone few who have come along down through history who were bright enough to say ‘This is stupid. Let’s stop this madness and try to live better,” we told them to shut their pie holes and if they didn’t, we bashed them in the head.

Where does the desire to kill, hurt and maim comes from?Truth be told, modern man has no answer. So, I can’t help but wonder was ancient man on to something, and explain it in what we call mythology or in some cases religion.

What had they seen in all ancient societies to say pretty much the same thing? The advance communications we enjoy today didn’t exist back then so they couldn’t call each other and say, “Girl! You wouldn’t believe what I just saw this crazy person do at the open market today.” So how could the same thing be described all the world by people who died having never seen each other.  But anthologists are finding the same stories over and over all over the world. So, anyone with a halfa brain can conclude it’s more than just evil people at work.

Maybe it’s a chaos theory at work. A cause and effect. But something had to created the first cause to have rippling effect that has resounded down through the ages. And if nothing existed then how could it be just evil people. I believe whatever the massive chaos was influenced people long ago and still influence then. And I also believe a of it is just human nature. But the question is why do we have such a violent nature?

About unholypursuit

A. White, a former librarian who is also long time member of Romantic Time and Publisher's Weekly. A. White has been writing for over fifteen years. She took classes in creative writing in college, specializing in ancient myths and legends. and at a local community center while living in Chicago. In college she won the national contest to verbally list every country in the world, it's capital and ingenious language. Her works are mainly horror, fantasy, extreme, and sci-fi as well as, as some may says, "the truly strange predicament and puzzling." Books that I've written are "Clash with the Immortals, and eleven others which are part of the "Unholy Pursuit saga,". She has been working on the Chronicles since 2007. She wished to complete them all before introducing them to public so the readers wouldn't have to for the continuation to be written. The ideas of the book come from classic literature such as whose work greatly influence the world world such as Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Socrates, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle and many more. The "Book of Enoch" influenced the usage of Azazael as a main character and love interest. I created the primary main character from the Chronicle of Saints. I wanted to show them as real flesh and blood with thoughts, desires and yearning as any human. Not as they are so often depicted. So I created one of my own to show her as a real human that everyone can relate to.
