I am repeating the words of Gandhi.
What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?~ Mahatma Gandhi
None, not a doggone bit. All they know is that they are suffering, hungry, or thirsty, and oftentimes dying because of someone else’s madness and it doesn’t matter who did it nor under what reasons.
People often justify actions by saying:
“Well, the ‘such and such’ folks hurt people ‘but’ they are still good people. (How is that?) Because they do, serve or (you fill in the blank)
But the ‘whomevers’ folks they hurt people. They are bad people because they belongs to such as group or looked such and such way.
If any group of people following something that wrought hell raising and hurting people then how can they possible have the audacity to say they’re better than another group who is committing the same atrocities? Many blame it on their culture. Their religion.
I am not convinced modern people still honestly believes it’s ok to carry out old customs which were harmful to other thousands of years ago and are still harmful.
It’s all about power. It does no matter who gets hurt in the process or quest for power. People use their customs to justify it. By saying it’s my religion or my culture as if that’s supposed to make everything alright. It doesn’t. That religion or culture is jacked up?
But there’s an old Native American proverb which says: “You can’t justify it in the end.”
