Hurricane Florence making landfall. Stay safe.

I am not sure if you anyone is in the path of these five storms heading for the US Eastern seaboard, but if your local authorities feel it’s best leave. Please evacuate.

Florence is a category 2 the last I checked the weather channel. I have lived through several storms and I can tell you, it’s better to leave, take what’s most precious-life, and come back and scavenge what you can than to stay and try to ride it out. Storms often get worse once they make landfall.

Hurricane Sandy hit here shortly before Halloween in 2012 . It was such a storm that got worse after landfall. It hit the shore with so forceful it flooded the subways of downtown NYC, and many other districts, stripped the sands from the Jersey beaches. The devastating effect was pushed all the way across the state to Lake Erie. It produced flooding rainfall and gusty winds throughout the state, from the southern Hudson Valley to the Lake Champlain area. The flood waters damaged multiple roads and forced residents to evacuate from certain locations. Strong winds left as many as 100,000 people without power and brought down a high number of trees due to the saturated ground.

A. White, a former librarian who is also long time member of Romantic Time and Publisher's Weekly. A. White has been writing for over fifteen years. She took classes in creative writing in college, specializing in ancient myths and legends. and at a local community center while living in Chicago. In college she won the national contest to verbally list every country in the world, it's capital and ingenious language. Her works are mainly horror, fantasy, extreme, and sci-fi as well as, as some may says, "the truly strange predicament and puzzling." Books that I've written are "Clash with the Immortals, and eleven others which are part of the "Unholy Pursuit saga,". She has been working on the Chronicles since 2007. She wished to complete them all before introducing them to public so the readers wouldn't have to for the continuation to be written. The ideas of the book come from classic literature such as whose work greatly influence the world world such as Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Socrates, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle and many more. The "Book of Enoch" influenced the usage of Azazael as a main character and love interest. I created the primary main character from the Chronicle of Saints. I wanted to show them as real flesh and blood with thoughts, desires and yearning as any human. Not as they are so often depicted. So I created one of my own to show her as a real human that everyone can relate to.

  3. Hurricanes are no joke. I was raised in Puerto Rico and had experienced quite a few when living there, as a child and as an adult. I now live in Florida and last year we got Irma, even though it was a category 2, it was intense and scary. But none, thus far, has compared to hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico last year.

    • Yes, I agree they are definitely no joke. It’s better to leave than stay. I know a lot of vandalism occur if you leave your place unguarded but things can be replaced. People can not. We had just left Florida when Irma hit. I heard about it from those we visited how terrible it was. I’ve lived in the New England and in the Midwest and both of these areas get plenty of wind storms.
Yes, Maria was a terrible one. I wish the response had been much quicker.
