A recently single mother with a supernatural past suddenly finds her life in turmoil. Energy and a fighting attitude are her two best friends as she is always on the road fleeing malevolent forces coming after her. She gives as good as she gets and always manages to stay one step ahead of her pursuers due to her inner qualities and otherworldly assistance. She is more than just a tough, strong woman fighting to save her family: she is a warrior called to battle to fight for the greater good.
Unbeknownst to her, the one in whose arms she sought love and comfort in is actually an immortal, who according to ancient texts and tomes, myths, and legends is far worse than Lucifer. Her new love is the former king of hell, Azazel.
I don’t want to accuse anyone of using my idea for the foundation of their book but these two books are eerily similar. But what else can I think? I am not talking about one word or a few words used. I am talking nearly the entire concept. Even down to the part where the mother and daughter are always on the open road and their barely escaping the malicious forces after them.
The ages of the daughters are different and my book isn’t a fairy tale. The demons and etc are out to kill not take you through “Wonderland.”
Both books does mention the daughters at age six. But Bea had better sense than to get in the car with a stranger at age six.
Both main characters’ daughters are kidnapped
Both Bea and the main character’s grandmothers are mentioned early on in the story.
Both mothers and daughters are plague by evil supernatural things
Both rarely visit their families because they don’t want the evil following them to their families.
Both mothers receive a legal notices.
Both girls enter a spirit world.
Both mothers have failed marriages.
I haven’t read the rest of the book so I don’t know how many more similarities there are. But something tells me a lot more.
From what I read in the books; Ana is a more serious person and take their strife differently than Althea.

The Novel: UnHoly Pursuit: Devil on my Trail 
It’s usually rather easy to take work from relatively unknown writers and give it to someone else the company feels is more marketable. The industry know they don’t have the power to fight back. That girl didn’t write this book. A ghost writer did and accredited it her name.
But it may not be so easy with yours for it is copyright. I’m glad you saw fit to do that.

Let me guess? When you presented this manuscript to that publisher they said it wasn’t what they were looking for at this time but obviously it was. They knew you wasn’t going to agree to let them rewrite Ana and Bea as some air-headed bimbos.

Yes, I agree if they were going to use my work so similarly, the honorable thing to have done was given me credit. I know my idea are original. I wasn’t online when I came up with this plot nor reading anyone’s else work. I was hauling myself between two states caring for terminal ill relatives. I didn’t have time to read anyone else’s work. I’m pissed because it is a dishonor to the reason the series was written. It was written to honor those who passed from this world.

Alma, artists stand with each other much better and firmer than authors. We don’t stand idly by and let the big dogs of the art world bully an up and coming artist. The literary world isn’t like this so, don’t expect help from other writers.
I am saying this because I know this is what the big publishing house is going to do, now that you know what they have done.
They are going to send out their coons to attack your work on every level and try to destroy your credibility as a writer or and you will start getting a butt loads of negative feedbacks. They has already been doing it stealthy but now they will start doing it openly.
I don’t feel it’s one company. I feel it’s others as well.
The reason for my suspicions were so many rules changed in marketing the same year your books hit the market. Rules and services that had been in place since the ebook was manufactured. Suddenly they changed. I have been around too long not to know these sudden changes were made to snuff out someone recently arriving on the scene. So that no one would know these companies stole this person’s work.

I won’t deny I hadn’t long noticed someone deliberately stifling my work. Pushing it as far back on the back burner as possible. I couldn’t figure out why would anyone do that?
I didn’t know anyone online or offline for that matter but I learned from my old line of work anytime you’re attacked for no just cause the attacker has done something you aren’t aware of yet. And are trying to turn you into the guilty party when you have no idea what’s going on.

I know you are a fighter and isn’t afraid of the devil himself and any one who is dumb enough to remotely think they can get away with stealing your ideas just don’t know what they are in for. 😆They don’t know you the way I do. They haven’t had a full dose of A. White roaring like a lioness. 😆 That’s one of the things I admire about you. You don’t back down but you choose your fights wisely.
But honey, it’s hard enough for a new writer to get started in today’s market without the hindrance of a big companies pulling them down by allowing their client to steal another writer’s ideas and formats and slapping their name on it and saying it’s theirs.
The *Hazel Wood* doesn’t have the refinery of* UnHoly Pursuit The Devil On My Trail.* It’s written like the typical juvenile works with a lot of “Uh, Duh,”and a lot of sarcasm in the wrong place.
I’m not worried about the * UnHoly Pursuit The Devil On My Trail *surviving until its end because I know it has a hard shell writer behind it.

I read them both. Unholy Pursuit: The Devil on my trail beat Hazelwood all hands down. They tried to copy your style but couldn’t pull it off.

Look at it this way. Your book is much better and a large company paid a tribute to your work without bothering to check for plagiarizing.

Your characters are much more realistic and although, both works are of supernatural elements. Unholy is far more exciting. Ana and Fannie loves Bea and will do anything to protect her. Hazelwood main character doesn’t have this kind of love and support that Bea and Ana has. Hazelwood didn’t captured the moment for the mature readers as Unholy did.
