We find ourselves watching out for the well-being of family and friends again this year. There’s a deadly storm spewing in the Gulf of Mexico and has hit Texas and several other nearby states. I hope everyone is out of Imelda’s Path. And for those whom are caught up in the storm. I pray God is with you.
But the hurricane season isn’t over. Far from it. There’s another storm spewing in the Atlantic, Hurricane Jerry, it continues to strengthen as it reached hurricane status on Thursday Sept. 19,. With a potential track that could slam the Leeward Islands, Jerry is the 10th named storm and the fourth recognized hurricane of 2019 Atlantic season.
The storm’s growing power prompted parts of the Leeward Islands to issue tropical storm watches, with tropical storm conditions expected within 36 hours. Up to 6 inches of rain could fall in some areas.
