Late Review of UnHoly Pursuit: The Devil on My Trail: The First Book of The UnHoly Pursuit Saga

I don’t know when the reviewer originally read the book and didn’t like it, but I’m grateful she later re-read it and better understood what the story is about. The review was sent to me on a PDF so that nothing could be altered.

About unholypursuit

A. White, an award winning former librarian, who is also a long time member of Romantic Time and Publisher's Weekly. A. White has been writing for over fifteen years. She took classes in creative writing in college, specializing in ancient myths and legends. and later at a local community center while living in Chicago. In college she won the national contest to verbally list every country in the world, it's capital and ingenious language. Her works are mainly horror, fantasy, extreme, and sci-fi as well as, as some may says, "the truly strange predicament and puzzling." Books that I've written are "Clash with the Immortals, and eleven others which are part of the "Unholy Pursuit saga,". She has been working on the Chronicles since 2007. She wished to complete them all before introducing them to public so the readers wouldn't have to for the continuation to be written. The ideas of the book come from classic literature such as whose work greatly influence the world world such as Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Socrates, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle and many more. The "Book of Enoch" influenced the usage of Azazael as a main character and love interest. I created the primary main character from the Chronicle of Saints. I wanted to show them as real flesh and blood with thoughts, desires and yearning as any human. Not as they are so often depicted. So I created one of my own to show her as a real human that everyone can relate to.

  1. Nina, thanks for the assertion but rest assured…I’m no prophet or prophetress (I’m aware that’s an older spelling of prophetess). I can’t predict my way out of a wet paper bag. 🙂

I read the book and I didn’t see any reason it could rub anyone the wrong way.

    A. White sometimes people have the gifts and do not know it. You have the gifts and needs to stop hiding them. No, the world will not accept it that you are gifted but you can not live your life for the world. This is not merely a book for entertainments. These are accounts of thngs yet to come. I do not expect to see this message.

I don’t usually leave reviews for books on a website but Amazon isn’t letting me leave your views on its site. I’m not able to buy $50.00 worth of stuff just to leave one review. You probably have lots of reviews Amazon isn’t allowing to post. I think it’s unfair. Anyway. I loved the story. It’s a good long read for shut in.

You ought to take part in a writing contest. I most certainly will highly recommend your work! I can see room for improvement but overall it is a good piece of work.

I’ve read so many blogs regarding books. I haven’t read the book because I’m not sure if I want to commit to a series but some say you write each book as a standalone. I can deal with that. I know the end when the book ends.

    • Hi,Beverly, I’m grateful for your consideration. However, I try to write each book so that it can be read as a standalone or part of a series. Of course, every situation of each character isn’t in every book, but each concludes an ending that doesn’t necessary require the succession book to be read to know what happened.

Great original story. The only fault I find is the book needed to be shorter.
