I was asked a question about a Goodreads review that’s been sitting on my book for two years. Sorry, I hadn’t seen it.. Are you anything like Donna Reed? ✨

First, I want to thanks the reader for giving me the opportunity to explain what the novella is about.

I was asked a question about a Goodreads review that’s been sitting on my book for two years. Sorry, I hadn’t seen it. I don’t receive notifications for reviews left.

Are you anything like Donna Reed?

I assume I must not be anything like her if I had to look her up to see who the inquirer was referring to.

Donna Reed??? Oh yeah, the lady from, “It’s A Wonderful Life.”

Sorry, I don’t remember the Donna Reed show. As a child, I saw old reruns of shows from the 50’s and 60’s; Like “I Love Lucy”, “Leave It To Beaver”. I hated “Leave It To Beaver”. Beaver got on my nerves. He was annoying as could be. I guess it was a show for a different era than my own.

If The Devil Had Menopause—we would all be in hell.

The Donna Reed Show

It was written about the things my mother and I shared during the preparations for the holidays and some comedic situations that developed in my own household. It wasn’t so much about the cooking. It’s speaking of the fellowship between parents and child.

Of course, I wasn’t going to go full “Andrew Dice Clay” mode with the comedy in a book where my mom is mentioned in.

I did a little Monique style comedy in the book. I stayed light with the comedy because I wasn’t talking about morbidity that cause tears and sadness. Morbidities that can go wrong; cancelling out the happiness of the season. That wasn’t the kind of “going wrong” I was writing about. And my heart truly goes out to anyone who experienced it.

But I think all mothers have a little Donna Reed in them or all the kids would be dead. Not living past a few days old. Humanity would have died off long ago had not mother selflessly given of themselves.

And as for the 25 pointers not being in the book. This merely shows me the person didn’t read it. There are more than 25 pointers in the book.

A. White, an award winning former librarian, who is also a long time member of Romantic Time and Publisher's Weekly. A. White has been writing for over fifteen years. She took classes in creative writing in college, specializing in ancient myths and legends. and later at a local community center while living in Chicago. In college she won the national contest to verbally list every country in the world, it's capital and ingenious language. Her works are mainly horror, fantasy, extreme, and sci-fi as well as, as some may says, "the truly strange predicament and puzzling." Books that I've written are "Clash with the Immortals, and eleven others which are part of the "Unholy Pursuit saga,". She has been working on the Chronicles since 2007. She wished to complete them all before introducing them to public so the readers wouldn't have to for the continuation to be written. The ideas of the book come from classic literature such as whose work greatly influence the world world such as Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Socrates, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle and many more. The "Book of Enoch" influenced the usage of Azazael as a main character and love interest. I created the primary main character from the Chronicle of Saints. I wanted to show them as real flesh and blood with thoughts, desires and yearning as any human. Not as they are so often depicted. So I created one of my own to show her as a real human that everyone can relate to.

An author is not obligated to answer questions from readers that are designed to show them up in whatever charges the reader have in mind. You don’t have to answer questions like that.
