As I honored the moment of silence yesterday, and as The National Cathedral bells ring 500 times for the 500,000 Americans who have died of COVID-19. I realized that this disease have cost more lives than World War II.
I also realized with so much uncertainty still abound, just how many people’s minds are still bogged down in irrelevant behaviors and things. Smothered in inconsequential mode of thinking when there’s something so deadly stalking all of us.
How will changing a mode of thinking save us? I don’t know, because we all already know the safety precautions, but I know I wouldn’t want my mind consumed with pettiness when there’s so much uncertainty surrounding us.
I do not think many realized the irrevocably of this pandemic. Or just simply do not care. Holding onto tired old tropes is more important than perhaps spending this uncertainty in harmony with all they encounter.
