Rereading your own books can be quite rewarding.
The Novel: UnHoly Pursuit: Devil on my Trail
Sometimes authors get so caught up in the presentations, marketing, algorithms, ratings and every other kind of mad frenzy that comes along after the book is published that we forget to enjoy the book and forget the reason it was written to begin with.
Take the time out to re-read and enjoy your own work, enjoy it and remember why you wrote it.
I know according to the talking heads you aren’t supposed to curl up with your own book and re-read it you are supposed to be getting other people to read it, but I say why not?
What harm can it do?
No, this isn’t being a braggart. It’s called self-appreciation because you worked hard to turn those thousands of words and characters it into a book. It’s didn’t appear overnight. Some of you all worked years.
Why can’t an author reads their own books? I think most already do.

I don’t see why not. 🙂 I think most authors do reread and enjoy their own books. 😉
