During researching information for romance habits of certain eras. I was a little surprised to discover that the dating habits of most modern day people would have landed them in hot water, had they been alive and dating in the 1950’s and 60’s and performing their Notorious “love ’em and leave ’em” it would have landed them at the altar or in jail.
I found many cases where the men went to jail in 1965 for jettisoning or jittering the women after intimacy.
I see, they really meant, “Keep your hands to yourself.” Many states have never repealed these laws. They are still on the books and can be retroacted.
I was familiar with the pregnancy law. But I was not familiar with the full extent of the Seduction Law. A pregnancy did not have to occur for the Seduction Law to apply. If the community [Yeah, other folks were all up in your business] decided your attention looked like seduction to them and you broke up with her, and now she’s going around town boo-whooing and crying; the Seduction Law was pulled out and throw at you, or if you were creeping to see her on the side and she told someone; her family could decide if they wanted you to marry her or wanted you sent off to jail for as long as 18 months to five years. Or a third alternative, her father and brothers earned the right to beat the hell out of you.
Now, I see why people didn’t play around during courtship back then. You should end up locked up, shot up, or beat up. The woman’s age and martial status had nothing to do with if she could press charges.
If he was already married, well that meant you went to jail or paid a hefty fine to remind him to keep himself to himself.

What is an intervention order?
An intervention order is an order issued by either the police or the Court, forbidding a person (the defendant) from behaving towards you (the protected person) in ways which may harass, threaten or abuse you or which may be violent.

In most states the old definition still applies. That’s how people can take people to court for the psychological damage caused by playing with emotions and wins gobs of money.

The states of the USA can undoubtedly be described as contradictions in terms of reaching from the obscenely ridiculous to the most advanced technologies and democratic rights. While most European states had gotten rid of those archaic laws determining the rights of the sexes, after the Second World War, some of those American states are still mired in near medieval practices.

The difference between America and Europe is that America was founded by religious sects and no one knows who founded Europe.
Europe may have gotten rid of the Seduction Laws pertaining the common people, I don’t know, but toward the aristocrat class it still applies. I think some of these laws need to stay in place to protect the vulnerable from predator dating. Without the guidelines of these laws persecution for Statutory rape would be harder to prove.
Without the Seduction Law, it would hard to not hand over all your money to someone who simply married you for your money. If they married you today and drained your bank account tomorrow and toted off all your worldly possessions, without a variable of this Law, there would be nothing you could do to stop them. They are your spouse even if they did just seduce you for your money.
I don’t think Europe is exactly a role model in reference to the Seduction Law. Remember it was Europe who got the world mired down in two World wars. Costing millions of lives. They need to bring back something if it will keep them from doing some of the things they did that affect the whole world.

Since learning they still existed and studying exactly what are they. Yes, I have read the argument that its’ time to retire those laws. It’s different from state to state. Most people don’t know they exist until some of this nature happens.
You have to admit there are people out there who wreck the mercy out of people lives if nothing prevented them.

Who were these invaders? Who were there before the invader came. There is no proof there were ever invaders in Africa until the 1300-1500’s which is one of the reason it’s considered teh origin of man.

I didn’t ask to be spoon fed. I just thought maybe you had some unheard of information regarding who was in Europe first. There are many theories but none of them exactly add up.
Pangea, also spelled Pangaea, in early geologic time, a supercontinent that incorporated almost all the landmasses on Earth. Pangea was surrounded by a global ocean called Panthalassa, and it was fully assembled by the Early Permian Epoch (some 299 million to about 273 million years ago).
Will Pangaea happen again?
The answer is yes. Pangaea wasn’t the first supercontinent to form during Earth’s 4.5-billion-year geologic history, and it won’t be the last. … Geologists agree that there is a well-established, fairly regular cycle of supercontinent formation. It’s happened three times in the past
Nazism, Homo Erectus are relatively new. π

And so would everyone every where else be in jail! π They used didn’t have any problems locking violators up.
Most people are unaware of these laws until they hire a lawyer and he or she digs them up.

Don’t get happy about living in Australia too soon.:) By America and Australia are pretty much established by the same country. There maybe variables of the same laws there. Then again, there may not be…America was influenced by the Puritans, Pilgrims and Quakers. But then again, who knows.

Yes, we are a strong Alliance together. Both our countries were conquered by the British. Australia was Saved by the Americans when Japan, tried to kill us all. After the bombing in Pearl Harbor. America entered the Second World War when Japan bombed Darwin Australia. Without the American nation, this would have been lost forever. Amen ππ

Yes, America and Australia have a strong alliance together. Thanks for letting me know that. I didn’t know Americans saved a place called Darwin, Australia. I had no idea Japan attacked it. I learned something new. Britain never conquered the United States. The US grew out of British colonies just as Australia. We fought two wars against the UK and won them both. Later we became allies.

American’s Constitution have never been British. Much was different even when it was a group of colonies. American laws I would presume are very different for we haven’t had a king since 1776. Back then it wasn’t called the United States of America. It was called the 13 Colonies of Great Britain. It declared its independence July 4, 1776, and called the United States of America and has never had any monarch over it.

Some of these laws needs to be brought back.
