Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day To All You Fathers Out There!

Being a father is a tough, but incredibly fulfilling job. It’s not a position for the faint of heart. It take real men to stand up and be a father. Any man can sire a child but not all men can be a father.

Your time is no longer your own. It belongs to the child.

Your money and resources are no longer your own. It belongs to the child.

From the moment the child opens his or her eyes and look at you he or she will never stop needing you. Their little fingers wraps around yours, trusting you to care for them the rest of your days.

You becomes a teacher, breadwinner, caretaker, cook, chauffeur, bank, playmate and many other things you didn’t know you  had the skills in you to do.

They learn about the up and downs of life from you.

Many of you are fathers or have been fathers have been or are a father to nieces, nephews, or younger siblings or to children of no blood relations to you. The life you helped shaped in priceless.

A good father is a treasure unto a family.

A. White, an award winning former librarian, who is also a long time member of Romantic Time and Publisher's Weekly. A. White has been writing for over fifteen years. She took classes in creative writing in college, specializing in ancient myths and legends. and later at a local community center while living in Chicago. In college she won the national contest to verbally list every country in the world, it's capital and ingenious language. Her works are mainly horror, fantasy, extreme, and sci-fi as well as, as some may says, "the truly strange predicament and puzzling." Books that I've written are "Clash with the Immortals, and eleven others which are part of the "Unholy Pursuit saga,". She has been working on the Chronicles since 2007. She wished to complete them all before introducing them to public so the readers wouldn't have to for the continuation to be written. The ideas of the book come from classic literature such as whose work greatly influence the world world such as Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Socrates, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle and many more. The "Book of Enoch" influenced the usage of Azazael as a main character and love interest. I created the primary main character from the Chronicle of Saints. I wanted to show them as real flesh and blood with thoughts, desires and yearning as any human. Not as they are so often depicted. So I created one of my own to show her as a real human that everyone can relate to.

  1. Fatherhood is not a job! Fatherhood is a mission (sometimes impossible)

    • I don’t think my dad viewed it as a job or a mission. I think it was something my grandfather trained him from boyhood to do and he accepted it. Anyway, if there were errors or slacks we kids didn’t notice the errors as kids do nowadays.

    • Yes, they are. Despite all the bad dads, there are many more good ones. 🙂

I wish people would stop defending these men simply because they fathered a child. They don’t deserve a holiday. They might used to deserve one but these men today are selfish cads. A, maybe when you was a kid there were more good fathers than bad ones, but not today. Most fathers today don’t even live with their children. If the kids see him at all, he’s with another woman not their mother. What’s that’s telling the kids? It’s saying you and your mother was just a pasttime for me.
Most men today are spoiled and self-centered. America adopted the “Little Prince” syndrome when it comes to its males.

Most fathers today act like they are childless. Were not for mothers and their families. Most American kids would be completely parentless.

        • Harry, you’re right. As harsh as it sounds. You’re right. So many children today are growing up how I did. With father in the house with my mother. The American family situation isn’t where it needs to be. I’m not saying parents do not have problems, but I think there need to be more people who work harder to create a real home for their children.

I think mothers who serve as both mother and father could be celebrated today also. It is very common today. Most mothers today are serving as both parents.
