FDR-“This generation of Americans has a rendezvous with destiny.”

FDR famous quote.

“This generation of Americans has a rendezvous with destiny.” “I pledge you, I pledge myself, to a New Deal for the American People.” “In these days of difficulty, we Americans everywhere must and shall choose the path of social justice…the path of faith, the path of hope, and the path of love toward our fellow man.”

Franklin Delano Roosevelt 32nd U.S. President

FDR was the only handicapped president we ever had. He contacted polio at age 39. It was he who created nearly all of the social programs we enjoy today, through a program called the New Deal. He led the nation through the Great Depression and most of World War II.

He began experiencing symptoms of a paralytic illness in 1921 when he was 39 years old. FDR was diagnosed with infantile paralysis, better known as polio, in 1921.

Most people know him for “Yesterday, December 7, 1941—a date which will live in infamy” and ‘We have nothing to fear except fear itself.’

A. White, an award winning former librarian, who is also a long time member of Romantic Time and Publisher's Weekly. A. White has been writing for over fifteen years. She took classes in creative writing in college, specializing in ancient myths and legends. and later at a local community center while living in Chicago. In college she won the national contest to verbally list every country in the world, it's capital and ingenious language. Her works are mainly horror, fantasy, extreme, and sci-fi as well as, as some may says, "the truly strange predicament and puzzling." Books that I've written are "Clash with the Immortals, and eleven others which are part of the "Unholy Pursuit saga,". She has been working on the Chronicles since 2007. She wished to complete them all before introducing them to public so the readers wouldn't have to for the continuation to be written. The ideas of the book come from classic literature such as whose work greatly influence the world world such as Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Socrates, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle and many more. The "Book of Enoch" influenced the usage of Azazael as a main character and love interest. I created the primary main character from the Chronicle of Saints. I wanted to show them as real flesh and blood with thoughts, desires and yearning as any human. Not as they are so often depicted. So I created one of my own to show her as a real human that everyone can relate to.

FDR- “This generation of Americans has a date with destiny.” This phrase becomes more relevant because on November 8 the midterm elections will be held in the United States, elections that are held every two years (in the middle of the presidential term) and that are crucial for the direction the country will take. From what I read, the Democrats have a hard time keeping control of Congress.
    Good weekend.

Good luck with this generation rising up to do anything other than rising up to hate each other. Kill each other and whine about how no one caters to them..

Mr. Roosevelt, maybe you had nothing to fear but fear itself when this speech was made. But today we have psychopaths running around gunning people down for no reason. Then again, you guys had the same psychopaths just calling themselves by another name. Mr. Roosevelt’s New Deal did very little for African Americans.
